APR Installs its 50th SUPPLYSENTRY RFID Inventory Management System at Südpack USA

Glendale Heights, IL (January 16, 2020) All Printing Resources (APR) announces that the company has installed its 50th SupplySentry RFID Inventory Management System at Oak Creek, WI-based Südpack USA. Südpack, a multinational packaging group with headquarters in Germany, specializes in flexo, rotogravure and digital flexible packaging applications.

Südpack - 50th SupplySentry Install

APR installed the SupplySentry system in October of last year to help Südpack’s monitoring of frequently used consumables. The company’s Director of Operations, Ron Vukmir, comments about his company’s decision to install a SupplySentry system. “We brought in SupplySentry for primarily two reasons. Firstly, we would periodically run out of materials like stickyback, doctor blades and splicing tape and if you use up all of your supply of some of these items it can shut a line down. Secondly, it guarantees we won’t order the wrong products. For example, before SupplySentry I might ask someone to make sure we order more doctor blades and then the blades would show up and they were from the wrong supplier or they were the wrong blade material. And when there’s a mistake like this, printing companies have to overnight materials to make sure they receive what they need in time which can get expensive. SUPPLYSENTRY guarantees I won’t be paying any overnight express charges.”

Südpack plans to expand the types of consumables the SupplySentry will monitor. In addition to streamlining the way companies manage inventory and consolidate purchasing, APR’s SupplySentry RFID Inventory Management System also means converters don’t have to apply personnel to the task of monitoring inventory. Vukmir adds, “ SupplySentry puts the right products and the right quantities into our hands at the right time.”
